"Diseases of civilisation, drivers and antidotes"
The lecture is an event of the Life Science Building of the University of Debrecen.
Abstract:
The term 'Diseases of civilisation ' is justifiable, but insufficiently granular to permit the development of specific preventative and remedial strategies; there are, quite simply, too many dietary and lifestyle variables.
An alternative approach analyses the mechanisms that drive degenerative disease(s) and cross-references these mechanisms with the known pharmacological properties of foods and food extracts.
Set against the relationship between dietary shift over time, and emerging patterns of morbidity and mortality, this allows the identification of a relatively small set of drivers of disease; which can be neutralized, using pharmaco-nutritional principles.
With a patient base measured in the hundreds of thousands, this general approach has been developed commercially
In over 120 nations, and is starting to impact the practice of integrated medicine.
